Black Hole Entropy: Linear Or Quadratic?

چکیده

We will refer to three concepts already present in the scientific literature: the gravity quanta [1], the gravitational cross section and the gravitational entropy [2]. The first is a step in the direction of introducing quantum mechanical concepts into general relativity and cosmological treatments. From general relativity we know that the gravitational field (energy) must be unlocalized, and this must be the case for the gravity quanta. We impose then the geometrical condition that the Compton wavelength of the gravity quanta of mass mg must be of the order of the size of the seeable Universe ct, where t is the age of the Universe:

The phase transition of corrected black hole with f(R) gravity

In this letter, we consider static black hole in f(R) gravity. We take advantage from corrected entropy and temperature and investigate such black hole. Finally, we study the $ P - V $ critically and phase transition of corrected black hole with respect to entropy and temperature. Here also, we obtain the heat capacity for the static black hole in $ f(R) $ gravity. This calculation help us...

Scale-Invariant Rotating Black Holes in Quadratic Gravity

Black hole solutions in pure quadratic theories of gravity are interesting since they allow the formulation of a set of scale-invariant thermodynamics laws. Recently, we have proven that static scale-invariant black holes have a well-defined entropy, which characterizes equivalent classes of solutions. In this paper, we generalize these results and explore the thermodynamics of rotating black h...

Black Hole Entropy and Renormalization

Using a new regulator, we examine ’t Hooft’s approach for evaluating black hole entropy through a statistical-mechanical counting of states for a scalar field propagating outside the event horizon. We find that this calculation yields precisely the one-loop renormalization of the standard BekensteinHawking formula, S = A/(4G). Thus our result provides evidence confirming a suggestion by Susskin...

Black hole entanglement entropy regularized in a freely falling frame

We compute the black hole horizon entanglement entropy SE for a massless scalar field, first with a hard cutoff and then with high frequency dispersion, both imposed in a frame that falls freely across the horizon. Using WKB methods, we find that SE is finite for a hard cutoff or super-luminal dispersion, because the mode oscillations do not diverge at the horizon and the contribution of high t...

An Elementary Derivation of The Black Hole Entropy in Any Dimension

An elementary derivation of the Black Hole Entropy area relation in any dimension is provided based on the New Extended Scale Relativity Principle and Shannon’s Information Entropy. The well known entropy-area linear Bekenstein-Hawking relation is derived. We discuss briefly how to derive the most recently obtained Logarithmic and higher order corrections to the linear entropy-area law in full ...
